2 Corinthians 12:7-10

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (KJV) [emphasis mine]
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 10:17-18

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (KJV)
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (KJV) [emphasis mine]
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 (KJV) [emphasis mine]
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Hebrews 4:12

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:14-16

Hebrews 4:14-16 (KJV)
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 2:14-18

Hebrews 2:14-18 (KJV)
For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy Him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted.

Saved or Accursed

There are so many followings out in our world today, but there is only one Gospel. Our good news is that Jesus Christ was sent by his Father God to reprobate man, He dwelled among us without sin or blemish, He gave his Light to this world and then was sacrificed on the cross for our sins. That is the good news – that is our Gospel – our hope and salvation.

As Solomon said, “There is no new thing under the sun…” (Ecc 1:9)

The Spiritually Called Apostle

This morning I began to read Galatians. I haven’t read this book of the Bible recently – like many others I need to. So, I had a fairly clean slate when I began to refresh my memory. It begins:

Galatians 1:1- (KJV)
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Mark 1:10-11

Mark 1:10-11 (KJV)

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
